Generally speaking, we happened to be disappointed a LOT about the covers we saw, Dirty Evidence was not one of them, it is great. With a strong red textile with silkscreen drawing and title on it, not only the outside of the publication caught our attention, it also echoes the inside of the book. This is what the whole design concept is about: echo. Going through a decade of the artist’s work centered around installation, sound and testimony the big chapters of his career are – separated by these red silkscreen elements, like a loop. We enjoyed the paper choices and also the typesetting which was really satisfying to our eyes. It just feels nice and easy to manipulate. The care to details, colors and materiality with these silkscreen interludes elevates the book to something different, something we wanted to pay attention to.
